What is involved in the process and how long does it take?
It really does depend on the business and the requirements. The process will generally follow these steps: 'Business information conversation', competitor research, keyword research, planning, design, development, go-live. This process can take anywhere from a couple of weeks, to over a month depending on the size and complexity of the business.
Can I have an input in the design process?
Of course! It is your business after all. After discussing your business, your brand, and any existing marketing materials, I will have a good idea of the branding and style to use. After my initial design I will send it across to you for review, and you can let me know of any tweaks or changes you would like made.
If any of these changes go against standard design practices, I will advise you on a case by case basis. Standard design practices can be broken in the right circumstances.
How long will it take to see results from the new website?
This is a question that is hard to answer. A website is after all, a medium to long term investment. If you already have a website that has been live for a few years, it may not take as long to start ranking higher on Search Engines. However, if you have no website at all, it can take Search Engines a few months to even index it so it shows up at all (this doesn't include direct searches. People can still access the site from day one).
It can all be determined by your level of outreach, if you are consistent with social media, or other forms of moving people to your site, it will perform well, quicker. If there is no other online presence, it can take longer.
I will do everything I can to make the site a success as soon as possible, and can advise on other strategies you can do to help the process significantly.

If you haven't got a Domain Name yet, or even if you don't know what one is, I can help with this as well. With my process, I can get you from 0 online presence, to your first potential customers seeing your website, ensuring you know what is happening at every step of the way.
For hosting, I provide a low cost hosting service to ensure your website has got the correct SSL/TLS certificate (Important for the website, but otherwise jargon you can ignore), and is always running as it should be. Any issues, and I move your site over to a different hosting service, for no extra cost.
